The Green Refrigerator Post

The Green Refrigerator Post

So I did it. I harnessed Sunday’s promise and attacked my refrigerator. Not the inside, I said no cleaning, remember? But I did touch up the paint and made some freaking adorable menu tiles from crazy cheap Michael’s supplies. Just call me Crafty Christi. Only kidding. Please don’t ever call me that, it sounds horrendous.

So I realized that I could never be a DIY or before&after blogger because I have zero patience. I’m way to eager to start the project — who wants to stop the creative mojo just to snap a few “before” pictures? Not I. Which is why I don’t have any pictures for you to compare the final masterpiece too. And yes, my refrigerator is green. That was thanks to a random night of boredom last year. Marco was so uber happy about it :)

Actually! I have pictures from that before and after. Taaaa Daaa!

Other than that sad try at orange, I was pleased with how it turned out. The thing is though, after 18 months of daily wear and tear, the paint was chipping and it was just bleh. It needed an update. I’m tickled with these little tiles. I mean seriously, how cute are they!? Ok, domestic bliss is found in small things. obvs.

Chalk that up to a successful Sunday! On another domestic note, I have it in my head that I need to update this little corner in my home that collects crap. I have an idea in mind but I can’t find the quite right print on quite the right chair at quite the right price. But I’m lusting over these. I know. Stunning, right!? I don’t know what it is about October that has me in total nesting phase. I’m cleaning and painting and refreshing our home from the inside out. I’m a seasonal person, undoubtedly, and Fall is my cleaning time. Forget Spring. Spring is for planting and getting dirty. Fall is for cleaning and re-purposing. I thrive on it. I’m hunkering down for the winter months ahead. And yes, Florida has Winter, smart aleck :)
